Ranch hosts, Terry and Karen Lammey, and their son Adam, came to the Twin Elm Ranch as guests in 1988 and fell in love with the ranch and the Anderwald family. The Lammeys returned every year-sometimes as often as four times a year. They met another family who were also guests and became good friends with them. This family bought the ranch and asked the Lammeys to manage it for them. Terry and Karen accepted the offer and moved from Mansfield, Texas, to Twin Elm Ranch in March of 2004. The Lammeys have made many improvements to the ranch while maintaining the "down-home" atmosphere which kept them coming back to the ranch every chance they had. As Karen said, "When we visited, we never wanted to leave, and now, we don't have to."
